PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

The parents are pivotal in the success of their children in acquiring Islamic education and putting it to practice. They can instil and reinforce it in many direct and subtle ways. Their level of expectations and interest in their child’s Madressa work is easily sensed by their child.

The Madressa has taken a policy decision to work closely with parents who have difficulty with their children in order to bring about a positive change. The Madressa will endeavour to support parents in this regard and will work tirelessly to support both parent and student keeping in mind that the use of power to dismiss a child will be used as a last resort.

All parents are expected to:
1. Ensure that their child/children attend Madressa regularly and on time.

2. Check that their child/children come appropriately dressed according to the Islamic Shariah, for the Madressa at all times.

3. Encourage their child/children to have high standards of behaviour at all times.

4. Make sure their child/children come to Madressa with the right equipment for the lessons on that day.

5. Check that their child/children are working to their full potential and make sure that deadlines are being met.

6. Attend all parents’ evenings and other Madressa functions so they can be informed more about their child’s/children’s progress.

7. Notify Madressa in advance in case of any prolonged absence.

8. Check for any communication from Madressa every week in the child’s folder, particularly, the deadline for course works etc.
